Your church, small group, business or civic organization can support our Meal Ministry by preparing to-go lunches for our weekly Saturday Servings outdoor community outreach events. We look forward to the day when your group will once again have the opportunity to actually serve the meal to our guests. For now, the risks of COVID and the flu to the many we serve with weak immune systems is too great. Our core team will distribute them once dropped off. For more information about our Meal Ministry, recommended items for lunches, and the number of lunches needed, please contact us below.
Set up a donation station at your church or place of business & get the word out! Maybe make a friendly competition to see what group can donate the most items! Help us keep our Mo Hope Pantry stocked with necessities for our neighbors. Here's a list of items needed. The Mo Hope Pantry stocks full size items that are new and unopened only.
Host a canned food drive in your neighborhood. Schedule the date of your drive with our pantry (804) 913-9151. Promote your drive on social media, instructing participating neighbors to place donated items in plastic grocery bags beside their mailbox by a specified time, unless your house or community center will serve as the drop-off location. We'll come through your neighborhood and collect their donations. Here's a list of items needed. The Mo Hope Pantry stocks full size items that are new and unopened only.
We regret this very popular activity is no longer available. We determined pre-bagging hygiene items into Toiletry Bags resulted in considerable waste by forcing the recipient to accept items they do not want or need. We also determined that our practice of giving out Blessing Bags was no longer effective, as we serve mostly the same people week to week. We no longer accept nor distribute Toiletry Bags or Blessings Bags. Thank you to all who have made them for our friends over the years!
