At our weekly Saturday Servings events, local church groups and businesses prepare and serve a delicious meal to 200-300+ struggling neighbors; many of whom are homeless.
Setup begins at 1:00. We have an opening prayer at 2:00, and serve until 3:30ish. Cleanup begins at 3:30. We usually have everything packed in the truck and ready to head home around 4:00. We like to end each event with a brief recap and a prayer of thanks.
In addition to a delicious meal, we provide...
Mo Hope Mobile Pantry distributes canned goods, toiletries, fresh fruits & veggies, & bread.
Let's Pray table provides Bibles, inspirational literature, and personal prayer.
Ask the Nurse table provides health screenings, and basic wound care.
Bike Shop provides bicycle repairs, and refurbishes and distributes donated bicycles.
Help Desk assists guests applying for benefits & services, and provides GRTC bus passes.
Bible Study open group helps guests discover who God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are.
Servings are held at the Brookhill Azalea Shopping Center 5300 Chamberlayne Rd.

Our Mobile Pantry distributes canned/dry goods, fresh veggies, toiletries, and clothing to our neighbors in need.
Recognizing God can do far more than we can, we offer prayer to all who desire to lift their petitions to the Lord.
We have nurses available each Saturday for our friends to ask questions about medical problems they are experiencing and receive referrals for care.
A bicycle is the primary mode of transportation for many of our friends. Our Mobile Bike Shop keeps bikes in shape to get people where they need to go.
Our Help Desk assists people with obtaining health, social and employment needs and services.
The Lord calls each of us to grow in the grace and knowledge of Him (2 Peter 3:18). We offer this opportunity to everyone through one on one Bible study each Saturday.
Saturday Servings Summary…
Hot enough to make asphalt stick to your shoes…Sweltering! Yet 198 of our friends endured it long enough to enjoy delicious hot dogs, chips, watermelon, and desserts. Thanks to our Brothers & Sisters from Grove Church and Movement Church who partnered to serve the meal!
Saturday was our first attempt to use the cloud-based software we use at the Mo Hope Pantry, as our means of checking in our guests. Our awesome volunteers dealt with WiFi hotspots with poor signal strengths, iPads overheating and shutting down, and sweaty fingers trying to swipe to scroll, but they got it done. Thank you!
We were able to provide Dignity Stays for two night in motels and fast food gift cards for 14 of our friends stuck outdoors with temps reaching 100. Thanks to our generous donors!
We want to thank everyone who sacrificed the comfort of their air conditioned homes for a few hours to show God’s love to the guests who joined us! And thank you Lord for sending them to us!
